Questions owners ask
Short, straight answers. If yours isn't here, just try the free Snapshot. It answers most of them faster than reading.
No. Keystone asks for aggregated revenue, hours, and comp: the financial side only. We don't ask for patient names, notes, or diagnoses anywhere, and none of the math uses them. It's not PHI, and we keep it that way.
We used AI heavily to build Keystone, and we're glad to say so. But when you run your numbers, nothing about your practice is sent to an AI: the report comes from plain, deterministic math you can check, a glass box, not a black box. If that ever changes for a feature, we'll say so plainly before you use it, it won't touch clinical information, and it won't make the call. You stay in control of every decision.
Keep them. Your bookkeeper tells you what happened to the whole practice; Keystone sits on top and tells you about each clinician and what to do next. It's an add-on, not a replacement. There's nothing to rip out.
There isn't one. The free Snapshot is rough hand-entry, useful on its own, and it surfaces the reversal (who actually makes money) and your own effective rate. The paid unlock just makes it exact on your real books and saves it. Nothing leaves your browser in the free flow.
Not at all. If you're solo, your free numbers carry straight in and you just add a couple of details. If you're a group, the exact per-clinician read is built from your real books: your roster, each clinician's real billings, and a P&L. That's data the rough free version doesn't have, so you bring it once at the paid step. Either way the free read isn't wasted; it shows you where to look before you make it exact.
It depends on your practice. If you're solo, just a few details: your filing status, your state, and your cash on hand. Your free numbers carry the rest, so it's a couple of minutes. If you're a group, it's each clinician's real billings or collections for a recent month and how they're paid (the kind of thing your bookkeeper or payroll already has), plus a recent P&L for overhead. Figure about fifteen minutes for a typical team.
Then you shouldn't pay for it. If the Full Snapshot doesn't show you something worth more than you paid, email support@keystonepractice.co within 30 days and we'll refund it, no questions.
The free Snapshot needs no signup and no install. It runs entirely in your browser. You only create an account when you want to unlock the full read on your real books and keep it.
Your free-Snapshot numbers never leave your browser. If you save a full Snapshot, it's stored per-practice, built so no other account can read yours even by accident, and shared reports are private links only you can hand out or revoke.
Yes. Solo owners get the free tools and a free Snapshot focused on your own economics: what to set aside for taxes, what you can sustainably pay yourself, your real hourly rate, and whether your cash holds. None of the per-clinician stuff you don't need, and no monthly fee.
Both solo and group. If it's just you, Keystone focuses on owner economics: taxes to set aside, what you can pay yourself, whether your cash holds. With a team (roughly 2–15 clinicians) it adds the per-clinician view: who actually makes money after pay. Very large clinics usually already have a finance team.
Free. No signup. The free read runs in your browser.
